NEW! Directions From Atlanta!
We live in Atlanta, and for years, we took I-75 to Tifton and
then took 319 South all the way to St. George. This route would take us
6-6.5 hours. But our new "neighbors" in St. George, also from
Atlanta, let us in on their route...and it is only 5.5 hours! Here are the
directions from Atlanta:
Take I-85 South out of Atlanta, then I-185 South toward Columbus.
You will pickup 431 South by going west of Columbus toward Phenix City. Take 431
South down through Eufala, then in Dothan, pickup 231 South. It was recommended
to us that if going at a time other than rush hour to just go ahead and cut
through Dothan rather than taking the loop around.
Continue on 231 to I-10 and go East toward Tallahassee. You'll only stay on a
couple of exits and get off in Marianna and take Route 71 South. Stay on 71 to
Blountstown and turn left on Route 20 (east). Take this just for a few minutes
then turn right on Route 12 at Bristol. Take 12 until you get to Wilma and turn
right on 65 and go south. Stay on this until you get to 98 just east of
Eastpoint. Turn right on 98 until you get to the SGI Bridge!
If you have good directions from other locations, please send them along, and
we'll include them on the website!
